ELC - Educe Language Center

ELC - Educe Language Center

In this division, native English teachers travel to local kindergartens to conduct English classes. We provide courses integrated into each kindergarten's curriculum and after-school classes. ELC classes are very lively, consisting of various activities including singing and dancing. Through direct communication with the teachers, students learn English in a natural and enjoyable way. Also, several excursions and cultural events are planned throughout the year.

English teachers in the ELC Division travel to kindergartens under contract and conduct lessons in on-site classrooms. There are two types of lessons. One type is named "Seika" - these classes are conducted during the morning period for approximately 30 minutes per class. Each class is made up of 20 to 35 students, sometimes more. The other type is named "Kagai" - these are hour-long lessons carried out in the afternoon. These classes are usually made up of 3 to 5 students. Instructors teach an average of 4 hours per day. Lesson start times vary depending upon the kindergarten. Depending upon the day's schedule, instructors may travel directly between home and the kindergarten, or may visit the head office to prepare lessons beforehand. Instructors must travel with teaching materials as these cannot be left at the kindergarten.
