Holidays

In Japan, holidays are seen as a time to rest the tired body and soul from everyday work. In recent times, some think of holidays as a time to enjoy leisure but the former concept is still the mainstream view. Please keep in mind that it is clearly noted that full-time instructors are not allowed to work for other companies or provide private lessons on days off.
Kohgakusha provides teachers with many opportunities to explore and enjoy Japan. We hope you use this time wisely and maintain a balance between rest and enjoying your holiday.

  • There are three major holiday periods throughout the year: Golden Week (April & May), Summer Holidays (August) & Winter Holidays (December & January).
  • National Holidays
  • * Some national holidays are regarded as normal working days since we offer regular lessons to students on those days.

  • Paid Holidays
  • * 10 paid holidays will be provided during the first year of employment. These can be used for both sick leave and vacations.
