Hours/Holidays
Work Hours
Instructors work 5 days a week, working a total of 35 hours and have a one-hour lunch break each day. They will typically teach around 5 or 6 lessons a day, with adequate time allowed for lesson preparation, meetings, and curriculum development. Working times and days will vary from teacher to teacher, and are set to meet the business needs of their assigned school. Also, if an instructor does not receive two consecutive days off, they will be given a compensatory allowance each month.

Holidays
There are three major vacation periods during the year, these are Golden Week (between April and May), the Summer Vacation (during August), and the Winter Vacation (between December and January).
Instructors will also have days off on national holidays, although some national holidays may be regarded as normal working days as we provide regular lessons on those days. Additionally, in an instructor’s first year, they will receive 10 paid holidays which are to be used for both vacation and sick leave.
